About our rescue
Road Dogg Rescue is a 501(c) nonprofit based in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. We save dogs from being euthanized in kill shelters and place them in loving forever homes. We are 100% foster-based, which means every dog in our care lives in a real home and is supported by our network of volunteers. We also offer community transport for people in need to the low-cost spay/neuter clinic. All of our animals are vetted and ready for their forever homes.
Frequently asked questions
How do I adopt a dog?
Browse our available dogs, then submit our online adoption application. We'll review it and connect you with the dog's foster for a meet-and-greet.
When do I complete the adoption contract?
Only after your adoption has been officially approved. See the Adopt page to download the contract when your coordinator gives you the go-ahead.
Are the dogs vetted?
Yes. Every dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and fully vetted before adoption.
What is the adoption fee?
Adult dogs are $300. Puppies are generally $350, but some litters might be more to cover incurred costs for transporting and boarding. All dogs are fully vetted. Adoption fees help cover the cost of vetting and caring for the next dog in need.
Do you ship or adopt out of the area?
We do not ship dogs. Out-of-state adoptions are approved on a case-by-case basis. If an out-of-state adoption is approved, the adopter is responsible for making all transportation arrangements.
How can I help if I can't adopt?
You can apply to foster, apply to volunteer, or make a donation. Every bit of support helps us save more dogs.
